How We Give Back
OUR Sustain Promise
We strive to make a difference in the lives of Indigenous youth by helping close the educational funding gap that exists between Indigenous and nonIndigenous students. We also are committed to creating a space in the beauty industry where Indigenous youth feel represented and seen.
how we support
During the development process of bringing Cheekbone Beauty to life, Founder Jenn Harper spent days researching how she could use her business as a force for good in the world. When she finally came across the hugely impactful work of the First Nations Child & Family Caring Society (FNCFCS), she knew she'd found the right partner – an organization who's values and mission so deeply aligned with hers.
Today
We continue to support organizations dedicated to helping Indigenous youth see and feel their enormous value in the world. We're also incredibly proud to have launched in 2021 the Cheekbone Beauty Scholarship Fund Program. Each year, we release a new limited-edition product, where 100% of the sales are allocated towards funding next year's scholarships for Indigenous students.
doing business differently
Cheekbone partnered with the Central Toronto Academy (CTA) to repurpose thousands of lipgloss and lipstick products that were no longer available to be sold. Instead of disposing of them (as is common practice in the industry), we happily donated to the artists at CTA to use for their Red Cascade installation, which celebrates life, women, and the cycles of nature, while commemorating all missing and murdered Indigenous women.
